Return to Ecuador!
Dear family and friends, June 25, 2026
Greetings from Texas! I hope you are doing well and enjoying the beginning of summer.
After nearly a year back in Kerrville, I have decided to return to the mission field in Ecuador. This decision was not easy, but I frequently find my heart pulled in that direction. A calling from God never seems to go away. It lingers, waiting for our response. And even if it is much later, or turns out different than we first imagined, it still presses you to finish your course.
As you can imagine, the needs in Ecuador are both staggering and ever-present. At the same time, however, the people are very open to the gospel and the churches are consistently growing! In addition to my regular activities of sharing the gospel, Bible teaching, and personal discipling, I will continue teaching English, as well as serving on medical brigade teams and other church or community projects. I would also like to get more involved in training entrepreneurs, as well as new church leaders and church planters.
In preparing to return, I believe God has led me to strengthen my lines of support. While in Ecuador, I was living on my modest Social Security pension, along with some supplemental ministry income. I also earned some extra money by teaching English classes and working remotely for my son. In early 2025, I lost a large portion of that ministry support, but I was still able to get by. Now that I am returning, I would like to replenish this ministry support so I will be better able to help others in need and expand my ministry.
In order to solidify and expand my team of supporters, I would like you to prayerfully consider becoming a vital part of my support team each month. Not only for financial support of the ministry in Ecuador, but also through regular prayer and mutual encouragement. I believe that your direct investment into my ministry will bear fruit of eternal value for God’s kingdom, as people’s lives are transformed by the love of Jesus Christ! I’m also confident that as our relationship grows deeper, your life will also be impacted personally as we learn together to “store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,” as Jesus said.
